Meeting the Oral Health Care Needs of our Community

As an experienced SE Portland dentist, Dr. Cardwell has assembled an exceptional team to help better meet the needs of his patients.

Each member of the Prime Dental Care team possesses a true passion for meeting the oral health care needs of our community. When you visit our office, know that you'll always see a warm and welcoming face to greet you at your arrival.




Leann lives in Canby with her husband Steve and two cats, Baxter and Stella. In rain, snow, or sunshine she is out power walking, averaging 20 miles a week. She enjoys antiques, being a self-proclaimed "foody" and reading. She loves dentistry because every day is a new and exciting adventure and you get to meet lots of different people.




A native of Portland, Maria attended Mt. Hood Community College and has been practicing dental hygiene for 13 years. Aside from helping people improve their oral health, Maria loves learning from patients.

"There are not many professions where one can interact with people from so many various walks of life."

In her spare time, Maria loves traveling, going to live shows, and pursuing a certificate in financial planning.

Trudy has been a dental assistant for 7 years, having graduated from PCC. The dental industry is something she's always been interested in and loves the aspect of helping people and working on teeth. Living in Newberg with her husband Eric and their cat, Archie, she loves exploring what Oregon has to offer outdoors including camping, running, and especially mountain biking.




Laural has been with Prime Dental Care for over three years and brings over two decades of experience as a leader in dentistry. As the practice manager, Laural oversees all day-to-day operations of the office to ensure a great experience for every patient and her team.

As an insurance specialist, Laural will be sure each patient understands the cost of any necessary dental treatment and ensures the patient will receive the maximum insurance benefit.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and home design & decorating. Her most treasured gifts in her life are her husband Joey, their Boston Terrier "OZZY" and their three adult children.

Rosa is a new addition to the practice, and is honored to be part of this team. Her goal is to represent the office in a professional and friendly matter, making sure that each patient that walks into the office feels welcomed and comfortable.

When Rosa is not in the office, she loves to cook, shop on Amazon, and travel when she can. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. Rosa's favorite college football team is the Oregon Ducks. She has a passion for volleyball, so she tries to play as much as she can. Oh - and her favorite tea is peppermint tea!




Heather has been a Dental Hygienist for over 25 years. She was born and raised in the Portland area. Heather is passionate about oral health and its impact on the health of the entire body.

She loves educating and motivating her patients to maintain a healthy mouth and body. Her patients appreciate her thoroughness and gentle touch. Heather resides in Milwaukie, Oregon with her husband, son, and daughter.

Michelle started her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2004. Her interest in dentistry began with some of her own experiences as a patient. This gave her the opportunity to be mentored by and work for her childhood dentist before he retired.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Michelle also likes taking weekend excursions to the beach or day hikes on a local mountain trail. Her favorite pastime includes a good movie and snuggling on the couch with her cat, Simon.

Ailis is a college student at the University of Denver studying Psychology and Spanish. She enjoys working at Prime Dental Care because she loves interacting with patients and having the opportunity to learn about the dental field.

In her spare free time, she enjoys hiking and playing guitar, as well as spending time with her dog, Kiwi and cat, Smudge.
